HOPKINS, PATTERSON posted by Mary Katharine Shaffer Cevallos on Wednesday, June 5, 2002

My GGrandfather, Edwin H. PATTERSON was a pioneer in Ohio. He arrived in 1838, and farmed near Tedrow. I think his father was George W. PATTERSON, and his mother was a HOPKINS. We believe she died before they left Allaghany County, New York. Their were half siblings as Edwin married again. I would like to find them. Contact from any of the Pattersons would be wonderful. My Grandmother and her brother (the children of Edwin) were estranged, so as a child, growing up in Ohio, I was denied the chance to know them. Thanks for this nice website. My address is: PO Box 308 Golden, Colorado 80402 303-642-0406 fireweedmary@earthlink.net Hopefully, Mary

KRAUSS, LEININGER, WENGER, WINGER posted by Chris Gould on Sunday, June 9, 2002

Looking for the parents of Maggie/Margarethe LEININGER, born 07 August 1871, confirmed 18 April 1886 at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, married 25 February 1889 at the age of seventeen to Charles WENGER (or WINGER); they had a daughter Maria Magdalena WENGER on 26 March 1889 and a son George Edward WENGER on 24 March 1890. She is my great-grandmother, and I know little about her; she died young and my great grandfather was remarried to Emma KRAUSS on 11 Jan 1904. I have no death date for Margarethe Leininger, and know nothing of her parents. We do have a souvenir program from a LEININGER reunion, undated, that describes a Leininger family with five sons and two daughters that entered the United States from Alsace, France/Germany on 1837; Margarethe Leininger may or may not have been descended from them. I would be grateful for any information you might have.

LOWRY, PALMER, RENOK, SIMMONS posted by Phyllis Nilsson on Sunday, June 9, 2002

Am searching for information about Charles William PALMER (b.20 Feb 1897 - d. June 1978) and his parents, Lincoln Ellsworth PALMER (b. ca. 1876,Fulton Co., OH - d. 1938 in Detroit, MI) and his mother Emma RENOK who was born about 1876 and died about 1953. In 1903 She married Cleave LOWRY and he died in 1924. The siblings of Charles PALMER were Millard, Hazel, Goldie, Sylvus, Ellsworth, Zelda, Elmer, and Harley. Charles was placed in Miami Children's Home from 1906-1908 and was "adopted" by the Websters of Milan, MI. He fought in World War I and married Fay M. SIMMONS. They had three children; Lenore, Charles, Jr., and Richard Earl. The information I have (not documented) states Lincoln's father was Eli PALMER born sometime in the 1850s (?) and lived on State Line Road in Lucas or Fulton county. He died between 1901 and 1904. Any information you have that I can pass on to my children will be greatly appreciated.

GEE, GROSS, GROVE posted by Michelle Hatch on Sunday, June 16, 2002

GEE-GROVE I am researching my GEE family history, and have found a typed page that someone sent my deceased grandmother, Fava GEE, a few years back. I believe that, as a child, I might have been at a cemetery where my relatives are buried. What I need to know is who my ggg Grandfather's parent's were so I can continue on. The info I have is taken from a book...History of Fulton County, 1905, pp. 359-360, and 363-364, as well. Oddly, I found some info on a marriage betwwen a John GEE and a Catharine GROSS -same county(Seneca)-same date! Something is not right...possibly a misspelling??? Somewhere out there is Something...to connect me to John's parent's. If you cannot access these pages, I acn scan them and e-mail to you. This family history is important to the "elders" now in my family who want to continue where my grandma left off before becoming ill. Thank you so much, Michelle Hatch 2255 Marengo Drive Toledo.
