HOFFMIRE posted by Ann Riding on Thursday, February 1, 2001

Am looking for the Samuel HOFFMIRE family bible that was transcribed in the October 1984 issue of Fulton Footprints. The bible was found at an estate auction in Swanton, OH. The successful bidder let the author of the article photocopy pertinent pages, but the author failed to get the name of the owner. The original owner was Isaac HOFFMIRE, Samuel's father. Samuel was the father of William HOFFMIRE b. 16 Oct 1792, one of the original settlers of Fulton Co. OH. Ann Riding genealogist@qwest.net 4835 South 3400 West; Taylorsville, UT 84118

CATELY, NUGENT, ZIMMERMAN posted by Dan Nugent on Thursday, February 22, 2001

I am looking for the parents of William W. NUGENT. He was born in Delta, OH in 1864, married to Anna ZIMMERMAN in 1887. I believe his parents may have been Paul and Elisabeth NUGENT, but have not been able to verify that. The 1860 Census Index shows Paul NUGENT, but the 1870 Census Index lists Eliza NUGENT as head of household. She died a widow in 1895. In the 1870 Census Index, her household is listed under 'FUYK 207B'. Perhaps that would list the children in the household, thus providing me with the answer to my great-great grampa's parents. If anyone has access to this info, or can direct me in the right direction, I'd appreciate. I've been able to trace my Grandmothers family (CATELY) back to the 1850 Census and determined that family originated with S.H. and Juliette CATELY. Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide. Dan Nugent 16713 Dog Creek Road Lakehead, CA 96051
