Isaac Huyck was also born in Schoharie County, and was of Dutch descent, his
ancestors having been among the original settlers of New York State, while he was one of the founders of the town of Scodic, or, as it is now called, Schoharie. Removing from that place, he eventually bought a farm in what is now Cannonsville, on Trout Creek. As time went on, improvements were made by him, and the acreage increased. Isaac Huyck died when ninety six
years of age, on the farm he had cleared, and which is still held in his family.

Isaac married Susanna CLAUW on 18 Dec 1769 in Linlithgo, New York. Susanna CLAUW died on 16 Jul 1811 and was buried in East Brook Cem, Walton, Delaware Co, New York.

General Notes: (SMK) Gives her name as Sarah Nicoll Montanye. (MKA) Presumably she was a
widow. There is no record given of children by her previous marriage. The
birth year of 1783 for the first child, when the parents were married in August
1783 suggests the possiblity that he was a child of the first marriage.
Finding clergy in 1783 in Upper Canada to perform a marriage was also very
difficult.
