General Notes: [ACD] Andries became the owner of a large estate at Kinderhook "which he
obtained by patent from King James II in 1636." He and Cathlyna had ten
children, of whom Johannes was the eldest.
(MKA) New Netherlands became British in 1664, hence it seems unlikely that
Andries obtained his patent from the British Crown.
[AF] & [IGI] Gives the name as Andries Hanse Huyck. [Would Hanse indicate the
son of Johannes or is this a different Andries?]

Andries married Cathlyna VAN VALKENBURGH on 10 Oct 1679. Cathlyna was born on 8 Jan 1659 in Beverwyck, New Netherlands.

[AF] Gives the name Catrijn Lambertse Van Valkenburg, born 8 Jan 1659, New
Amsterdam, New York, N.Y.; Christened in New Amsterdam, Montgomery Co, New
York.
[IGI] Lists for the same birthdate as the above: Catheline L. Van
Valkenburgh, at Beverwyck, Albany, New York, daughter of Lambert Van Valkenburgh
and Annatie. This entry is a submission of a Church member, not a transcript of
an original document.
(MKA) Catrijn, Catheline & Catryna appear to be interchangeable in [IGI]. Most
of the children are listed in IGI twice, with same Christening dates but with
different spellings of mother's name. The entries are submissions of church
members not transcripts of church documents.
(MKA) For the date 1659, in the [IGI] listing, the place should read
Beverwyck, New Netherlands. Names such as Albany, and New York date from
British Colonial Rule beginning 1664, the little town of New Amsterdam in
Montgomery Co dates from after the Revolution, about the time that Montgomery Co
was divided from the former Albany Co. During the Dutch colonial period,
there were no County governments organized. These errors are very common in LDS
records.
