This transcription project was named The USGenWeb Census Project in 1998 in accordance to the then newly adopted USGenWeb Project Bylaws. Previously it had been known as the "Archives" Census Project.

Started in February, 1997, The USGenWeb Census Project is an all-volunteer project to transcribe census records in a standard format in order to make them available to genealogical researchers on the Internet.

This is a "virtual library" of historical documents that have been donated by folks like you. Follow the links below to the individual Ohio Counties' Archives, and you may find items such as wills, obituaries, letters, biographical sketches, County and Township histories, census, cemeteries, etc. This will vary by county, dependant upon what has been submitted
