Deciphering of badly worn headstones was aided by the previous reading of Harriet Cole Bowen,    published in 1937 by the D.A.R. of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan Data was supplemented by Lenawee County birth and death records, U.S. Census records, Sexton's records of Raisin Township researched by D. O'Brian, Adrian Monthly Meeting records published obituaries on microfilm  (Adrian Public Library), and family genealogies
