Delta's Got Talent!   March 17th, 2013  2:00pm Sunday afternoon, at the Delta High School Auditorium

As part of the celebration of the 150th year of the incorporation of the Village of Delta, we would like to showcase our "homegrown" talent!  The talent scheduled either has a member currently living in Delta, graduated from the Delta school system, or in some way have a connection to our town!   The show will take place on Sunday afternoon, March 17th, 2013 in the Pike-Delta-York Senior High School Auditorium promptly at 2:00 pm.  Come and enjoy a variety show of Talent from the Delta area.  As a special feature performance the Fossil Creek Bluegrass Band will be playing.  Among the members of this up and coming band is Delta’s own 1972 graduate, Tom Galbraith.

 Fossil Creek was formed in the Toledo area of NW Ohio and SE Michigan in 2006.  Originally a gospel group, their interests gradually grew to include traditional and contemporary bluegrass and Americana music.  They started writing their own musical stories and producing CD's, that original music is becoming a bigger and bigger part of their shows. When you come to a Fossil Creek show, you'll hear original music mixed in with songs from the legends of bluegrass, some new and some old. They toss in some of the gospel music that has always been a part of their shows, and might even come up with a surprise or two along the way. Their main goal is to play great music and have a great time doing it. They want to take their listeners on a musical ride that they'll want to go on again and again.  This will be a show you will not want to miss.
