Bertha H. Canfield, 82, Pettisville, died Thursday following a long illness.
Deceased was a lifelong resident of Fulton County and had made her home in Pettisville 67 years. She had no survivors. Services were held at Pettisville Missionary church, Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Charles Kauffman. Burial in the Wauseon cemetery.

Mrs. Elsie E. Clay
Elsie E. Raker, daughter of Calvin and Edith (Engleman) Raker was born in Fulton County, Ohio January 27, 1892 and passed from this life November 25, 1966, suddenly, in the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon. She was united in marriage July 5, 1909 in Delta, Ohio to Harry LeRoy Clay. To this union were born one son and two daughters.
She lived all her life in this area and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wauseon for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1949 and one daughter, Mrs. Eulah Wagner in 1938. Surviving are her son, Paul Clay, Los Angeles; her daughter, Mrs. Naomi Schaffner, Fayette; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Roscoe Raker, Wauseon, Warren Raker, Delta, Marion Raker, Fayette, and George Raker, Delta; sisters Mrs. Lillian Foley, Swanton, and Mrs. Weltha Wanner, Delta; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
The body was taken from the Penrod Funeral Home, Wauseon to the First Baptist Church in Wauseon for services Monday, November 28, 1966 with the Rev. J. E. Wheeling officiating and the interment was in the Wauseon Cemetery.CARD OF THANKS

RUTH LUETTA CLINGAMAN
Ruth Luetta Clingaman, daughter of Jacob and Rebecca Leininger Leu, was born near Archbold, Ohio on May 31, 1902 and passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio on January 25, 1977. Her age was 74 years, 7 months, and 25 days.
In her youth she was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church at Burlington where she remained a faithful member until her death.
On October 16, 1920, Ruth was united in marriage to Clarence J. Clingaman. They made their home at Elmira until 1942 when they moved to Maumee, Ohio where they lived until 1958, then moving to their present address at 307 DeGroff Avenue in Archbold, Ohio. This union was blessed with 3 daughters, Evelyn, Helen and Bonita. Ruth and Clarence shared 56 years together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and half-brother Willard Leu.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband Clarence; 3 daughters, Mrs. Carl (Evelyn) Roth of Birmingham, Michigan; Mrs. Harold (Helen) Merillat of Ellicott City, Maryland and Mrs. Richard (Bonita) Saam of Maumee, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one sister Mrs. Orville (Irene) Eicher of Tedrow, Ohio; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Heer of Archbold, Ohio and Mrs. Edna Rupp of Tedrow, Ohio; nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.
Funeral *servies were held on January 29 at 2 p.m. at Short Funeral Home with Pastor H. Albert Mann officiating. Interment was February 1 in St. James Lutheran Cemetery near Archbold, Ohio.There's an open gate at the end of the road

Ida Crossgrove
Ida Crossgrove (nee Nofziger) daughter of John and Magdalina Nofziger was born Feb. 6, 1889 near Wheatland, Hickory County, Missouri. Departed this life at the home of her daughter near Archbold, Ohio, June 17, 1944 at the age of 55 years, 4 months, and 11 days.On March 9, 1909 she was united in marriage with Samuel H. Crossgrove. This union was blessed with four children (one son Chester died in infancy); 3 daughters, Mildred (Mrs. Arlen Zimmerman) of Wauseon, O.; Ada (Mrs. Orval Nafziger); Marie (Mrs. Vernon Frey), both of Archbold; O.
She leaves to mourn her departure: her sorrowing companion, 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren, 4 sisters: Mrs. Ed. Roth of Wayland, Ia.; Mrs. Harve Rychener of Pettisville, O.; Mrs. Simon Klopfenstein of West Unity, O.; and Mrs. Levi Witmer of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one half-sister, Mrs. Will Kauffman of Wayland, Ia.; two half-brothers, Menno Nofziger of Florence, Ariz., and John, of Phoenix, Ariz.; also Aunt Josie (Mrs. Henry Rychener) of Pettisville, O., with whom Ida made her home for some time after the age of 13; besides a host of other relatives and friends. There preceded her in death: one son Chester; father, mother, two half-brothers, and four half-sisters.
In youth she accepted Christ her Savior, and *unted with the Mennonite Church, remaining faithful until the Lord called her home to rest, which came after an illness of about five years, suffering from heart trouble, and other complications, which she bore with patience. She was deeply concerned for her family and will be missed by her companion, and daughter, who so much appreciated Mother, also by all who knew her.

(Sept 1950) Mrs. Cloutier's Mother Passes Away
Mrs. Lillie Dorcas, 74, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. J. Cloutier Sr., Wednesday afternoon following an illness of several months. Mrs. Dorcas, whose home was formerly in Holland, is survived by her daughter, with whom she was living, and two sons, Darrell, of Toledo and Harry, of Maumee. One daughter, Mrs. Dorthea McCord preceded her in death. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; a brother, Ira W. Cowell, of Lakeside and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Wagner, of Fraser, Mich. The Funeral services will be held at the Free Methodist church in Holland Saturday at 2 p.m.

Ervin Eash, son of William and Sovilla Eash was born in Lagrange County, Ind., May 8, 1892, met death instantly when his auto collided with a truck near Elkhart, Ind., Saturday evening, March 25, 1950. Aged 57 years, 10 months, and 17 days. On March 3, 1914, he was united in marriage to Ada Aschlimen, of Stryker, Ohio. Three daughters and four sons were born to his union. He is survived by his aged parents; wife; 7 children: (Vivian) Mrs. Ervin Miller, Victor, Elon, Wesley, (Miriam) Mrs. Edward Yoder, Verda and Verlin, all of the vicinity of Archbold, Ohio; five grandchildren; two sisters: (Fannie) Mrs. Will Haarer of Shipshewana Ind., and (Ivy) Mrs. Clayton Esch of Middlebury, Ind., and many other near relatives and friends. Early in life he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Mennonite Church and for the last number of years he has been affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church. Most of the time since his marriage he has resided in the vicinity of Archbold. He was a lover of good music and for many years served as chorister of the Lockport Congregation.?Tis hard to part with father dear,

May our names too, be written there.?A short service was held Wednesday morning in the Eash home on Vine Street in Archbold with Rev. Wyse Graber presiding. The funeral service was held at the Lockport Mennonite Church north of Stryker, Ohio at 10:30 A. M. The mixed quartette opened the service with a song after which Rev. Simon Stuckey read from the fourteenth chapter of Job. Rev. Walter Stuckey, offered the sermon with Hebrews 9:27, 28 as" the text, Interment in the Lockport Cemetery.

ALVORDTON, O., Dec. 23-- Mrs. Clara Kirchoff Echelbarger, 49, died in the home of her mother, Mrs. Ethel Hutchison, Alvordton.
Born in Archbold, O., Mrs. Echelbarger had lived in Dearborn, Mich., and moved here two years ago. Also surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Anna Stahl, Alvordton, and Mrs. Nettia Severence, Denver, and brothers, Edwin Echelbarger, Adrian, Mich., and Sylvan Echelbarger, Tipton, Mich.
The Rev. E. E. Roberts will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Clark Mortuary, Fayette. Burial will be in Tipton Cemetery.

Youngsters Find Medicine on Shelf While Visiting Neighbor's Home.
Adrian, Mich., Aug. 1 ? Elmer Echelbarger, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Echelbarger, died early Thursday as result of the child's eating medicine tablets.
The boy with Nelson Swift a child of his own age and living in the flat above, went to a neighbor's house and found the box of tablets on a shelf. The children immediately began eating them. The Swift child ate only the red coating and was only slightly ill.?CANDY? Pills Fatal To Tot
ADRIAN, Mich., Aug. 1 Elmer Echelbarger, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Echelbarger, died at the home a few hours after the child had eaten heart tablets mistaken for candy.
The tablets were obtained when the child in company with Nelson Swift, a companion entered the home of a neighbor and obtained the box of tablets from a shelf.
It was impossible for physicians to give any relief.

Noah S. Eicher son of Christian and Cathrine Eicher, was born near Archbold, Ohio, on Sept. 29, 1871. Departed from this life at his home near Stryker, Ohio, on January 18, 1952, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 20 days.
On December 18, 1895, he was married to Tena Wyse. Fourteen months later she was taken from his side by death. On January 27, 1903, he was married to Eliza Short. To this union were born one son and one daughter. On July, 1927, his second companion was taken by death.Surviving are his son Joseph and his daughter Mrs. Clark (Mable) DeGroff, both of near Stryker; three grandchildren: Mary Lou and Joe David Eicher and Dee DeGroff; two brothers: Daniel Eicher, Stryker, Henry Eicher, Archbold; one sister Mrs. Henry H. (Eliza) Short, Archbold; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Besides his companions he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. As a young man he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, united with the Mennonite Church and was a faithful member of the Lockport Church until death.
He lived all of his life in German Township, Fulton County, Ohio.
As the father in the home and brother in the church he always had a special interest in the spiritual welfare of his family and many friends. His home was always open to the weary *traveller along the way.For the last number of years his body was afflicted with rheumatism and the last month of his life was spent in bed with other complications until the Lord saw fit to take him home. Our loss is his Eternal gain.Funeral services were held at the home and at the Lockport Cemetery.Jesus: thy blood and righteousness

Bertha M. Emmons, 81, Pettisville, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 17, at a Wauseon rest home, having been in failing health a year. Mrs. Emmons served as postmaster at Pettisville 35 years before retirement, received the 1963 Ohio Postmaster of the Year award and was past president of National League of Postmasters of the United States. Survived by one son, Arthur of Wauseon; one sister, Mrs. Alice Nisely of Kendallville, Ind., and one grandson.
Services will be held in Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold, Thursday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Walter. J. Baese. Burial in Pettisville Cemetery.

PETTISVILLE- Mrs. Bertha *B. Emmons, 81, who was retired after serving 35 years as village postmaster, died early today in the Northwest Care Center, Wauseon. She had been in failing health the past year. She was a past president of the National League of Postmasters and had received the Ohio Postmaster of the Year award in 1963. She was a Charter member and past president of the Pettisville American Legion *Auxilliary and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. A life long resident, she was born in Pettisville to Jacob and Caroline (Krauss) Neidhart and was the widow of Floyd Emmons, who died in 1965.Surviving are a son; Arthur, Wauseon; a grandson, Staff Sgt. David Emmons, Lompoc, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Nisely, Kendallville, Ind.

Fall From Scaffold Kills Man
A rural Wauseon man died Monday when he fell from a scaffold at Dinner Bell Foods, Inc., 1340 W. High St., while working on a construction project there.
F. Arthur Emmons, 52, was rushed to Defiance Hospital by the Defiance rescue squad after the accident, but was pronounced dead on arrival. According to Defiance .police officers today, Emmons was apparently working at the plant with Baker-Shindler construction crews, where he was employed as a brick mason, when he fell approximately 25 to 30 feet. The mishap occurred at 2:17 p.m.
A resident of Star Mobile Court, Wauseon, he was born in Pettisville and was a Wauseon resident for a number of years. He was a World War II veteran, a member and past
of the Dad's Club of the VFW, Wauseon Elks, and Local 1 of the Bricklayers Union in Defiance. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; a son, David, Vandenberg, Calif., and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Edgar Funeral Home, Wauseon, with Rev. Walter J. Baese officiating. Burial will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery with the Wauseon VFW according military rites. Calling hours begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Fanny Irene Ernst, daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Winters Zimmerman, was born on the old Marint Winters Farm in German Township, Fulton County, Ohio, on October 2, 1879. After an illness of ten days, she passed away at her home on the family farm south of Delta, Ohio, on April 23, 1948, aged 68 years, 6 months, and 21 days. On the 10th day of December, 1899, she was united in marriage with Oliver B. Ernst. To this union were born six children, George, Vida, Jeanetta, Chester, John and Lois. In 1918 she became a member of the Reformed Mennonite Church and was a faithful Communicant of that Church ever since. She was devoted to her home and family and their welfare was always uppermost in her mind.She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, six children and seven grandchildren; two brothers, George Zimmerman and Clarence Zimmerman; seven sisters, Mary Longaker, Elizabeth Hoffman, Minnie Rowe, Bertha Smith, Vera Zimmerman, Merlin Zimmerman, and Byronna Wiseman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Heartaches are something that no one can heal,
Memories are treasures that no one can steal,
Loving and kind in all of her ways,
Upright and just to the end of her days.
Sincere and true in heart and mind,

George Benjamin Ernst was born November 14, 1900 and passed from this life December 30, 1984 at his home. He was the son of Oliver and Fanny (Zimmerman) Ernst. Born in. Henry County near Ridgeville Comers, he was a resident of Fulton County's York Township for many years. He was a retired farmer and was affiliated with the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church. On August 30, 1928, he was married to Bertha Rashley, who survives. He also leaves one son, Roger, of Delta, two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Jones of Grelton and Mrs. Sharon Stites of Wauseon; one brother, Chester, of Reseda, California; three sisters, Mrs. Vida Rice, Ms. Jeanette Ernst, and Mrs. Lois Nofziger, all of Archbold; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 2, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church with Robert Myers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetary.

Oliver Benjamin Ernst, the son of Benjamin Ernst and Barbara Myers Ernst, was born on a farm in Ridgeville Township, Henry County, Ohio, on the 18th day of November, 1875. His only formal education was the meager schooling furnished by the public school of that day. However, he taught himself in agriculture and *become a successful farmer. On the 10th day of December, 1899, he was united in marriage with Fanny I. Zimmerman. To the union were born six children, George, Vida, Jeanetta, Chester, John and Lois. In 1918, he and his wife, Fanny, *become members of the Reformed Mennonite Church and were thereafter faithful Communicants of this Church. After 47 years of happy married life, his wife departed this life last April 23rd. Oliver's health began to fail about two years ago and he passed away at Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio, on Sunday, March 18th, 1949, aged 73 years, 4 months. The decedent was a hard worker, conscientious in his duties to his fellowmen and proud of and devoted to his family.He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his six children, seven grandchildren, three brothers, Elgar, Melvin and George, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Two weeks ago he fell in his home and was taken to the hospital. Deceased spent his lifetime in this community and lived in the Stryker area for the past 22 years. Calvin M. Fether, 64, son of William and Hanna Fether, was born Sept. 16, 1883, and passed away at Wauseon hospital, May 7, 1948, after a long illness, having been injured by a fall on New Years Day. He was born in German township, Fulton county, Ohio and spent his entire lifetime in that vicinity. On Dec. 21, 1905 he was united in marriage to Mary Burkholder. To this union three children were born: Carrie (Mrs. Earl Lovejoy), Ralph, and Alice (Mrs. Jack Harper). Andrew F. Fether, son of William and Hannah (Fetzer) Fether, was born in Fulton County, Ohio April 8, 1881, and passed away from this life at his farm home near Archbold, Ohio, Saturday morning, March 20, 1954, at the age of 72 years and 19 days. On May 4,1913, he was united in marriage to Ida Vonier. Shortly after their marriage they joined Saint John?s Evangelical Reformed Church. To this faith he served as a deacon for a number of years and attended Church regularly as his health permitted.To this union were born three children: Hilon John, who died in infancy; Andrew William Fether, at home, and Mrs. Orpha Wendt, of Archbold, Ohio. To his family he was a devoted companion and father. He was a good neighbor and had a wide circle of friends, at his departure. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two grandchildren and relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one child, parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held at the home and at Saint John?s Evangelical Reformed Church on Monday, March 22, 1954, conducted by Rev. N. B. Wierwill. Burial in Pettisville Cemetery.

Michael Henry Fieldmire, son of William and Nettie (Poorman) Fieldmire, was born August 11, 1891, one half mile north of Tedrow, Ohio. He passed away April 10, 1954 at the Detwiler Memorial Hospital at the age of 62 years and 8 months.
On February 24, 1915 he was married to Pauline Elizabeth Gearig, who passed to her reward on November 14, 1935. On March 15, 1937 he was married to Dorothy Hiett Vonier. On January 19, 1907 he became a member of the Tedrow Church of Christ, under the ministry of L. E. Hoskin, of which he remained a member until the Lord called him home. He was a Deacon of the church board at the time of his death. He has lived in the Tedrow community all his life.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife Dorothy; step-daughter Katherine Maurine Vonier; sister-in-law Mrs. Amelia Gearig of Toledo; two brother-in-laws, Elmer Gearig, of Wauseon and John Kissel of Wauseon; three nephews, Veryl Gearig, Vidus Gearig, and Harold Kissel all of Wauseon; one niece, Mrs. Amos Penington of Wauseon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the Tedrow Church of Christ, Thursday afternoon, April 15 at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Robert Pelfrey officiating. Interment was made in the Tedrow Cemetery,

FISH , Franklin A., the son of Franklin E. Fish and Cora Benner Fish was born October 5, 1904 in Fayette, Ohio. He was educated in the Fayette public schools and was graduated from the High school in 1922. At an early age he entered the employ of his father, learning the clothing business which he followed for several years in the cities of Cleveland and Toledo. Later he became an automobile salesman for the Roth Motor Sales in Toledo and in 1935 he came to Archbold and became associated with the Vernier McLaughlin Probeck company.
On July 2nd, 1931, he was married to Margaret Ellen Probeck, to them was born a daughter, Helen Catherine. Besides his wife and daughter he leaves his mother, Mrs. Cora Fish of Fayette, O., two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Allanson of *Valpariso, Ind., and Mrs. C. H. Osgood of
Morenci, Mich., and one brother, Robert Van Fish of New York City.?I hold it true whate'er befall;

Mrs. Bertha *A. Frey, 72, RR2, Archbold, died Thursday evening, Nov. 28, in Fulton County Health Center where she had been a patient three weeks.
Born in Fulton County, she spent her lifetime in the Archbold area.
Survived by her husband, Harvey; six sons, James and Merle, both of Wauseon; Vincent of New Carlisle; Carl of Pettisville; Ronald of Phoenix, Ariz., and Edward Waidelich of Archbold; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Alta) Grieser of Archbold, and Mrs. Lester (Letha) Richer, of Wauseon; one brother, Glenferd Short of Pettisville.

Bertha H. Frey, daughter of Harmon and Lydia (Beck) Short was born near Archbold, Ohio on September 21, 1902 and died at the Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, Ohio on November 28, 1974, aged 72 years, 2 months and 7 days. On January 22, 1924 she was married to Harvey Frey and they lived together in the Archbold community all her life. She is survived by her husband Harvey, six, sons; James, Wauseon; Vincent, New Carlisle, Ohio; Merle, Wauseon; Carl, Pettisville; Ronald, Phoenix, Arizona; and Edward Waidelich, Archbold; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Alta) Grieser of Archbold and Mrs. Lester (Letha) Richer of Wauseon; brother, Glenford Short, Pettisville; sister-in-law, Almeda Short and two uncles, Peter Beck of Pettisville and Sam C. Truck-Car Crash Claims Girls Life
Daughter Of Harvey Frey Dies In Hospital Following Accident Miriam, 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey B. Frey, died in the Wauseon hospital, Thursday, of injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral was held at the Clinton A.-M. church, Saturday. Burial in the Pettisville cemetery. Arline Frey, 9, is still in the hospital suffering from fracture of the skull. The little boy, Merrill, 2, is at home and seems to be recovering. Mr. Harvey B. Frey was injured about the head.
The Harvey B. Frey ford was going south at the Van Pelt corners, south of Wauseon, Wednesday afternoon. In the ford was Mr. Frey and his three children, aged 3, 7 and 6 years. Going east at the corner was the Lugbill stock truck loaded with steers and driven by Leon Lugbill. The two cars came together at the corner with a terrific crash. The passenger car was thrown some ten feet and rolled. As it was of wood-frame construction, it was badly demolished, and the occupants greatly endangered.Leon Lugbill, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Lugbill, is at home and seems to be recovering nicely from his injuries. The stock truck turned a complete somersault and landed about forty feet from the place of impact. One steer was killed, and several injured. Leon Lugbill, the driver of the truck, considered himself uninjured at first, but later he was taken to the hospital at Wauseon. The Frey family recently lost a son in an accident with a horse.
Both the truck and the passenger car were completely wrecked. It is said that the corner in question was screened by trees and the drivers could not see each other approaching.

Noah E. Frey, eldest son of Jacob G. and Mary (Burkholder) Frey, was born near Pettisville, Fulton County, Ohio, April 17, 1892, died at his home in Pettisville, March 12, 1955, aged 62 years, 10 months and 23 days. His health was failing for several years but he continued to be up and going except for a brief period just before his death. At the age sixteen he accepted Christ as his Savior, and by baptism become a member of the Mennonite Church and was a faithful member of the West Clinton Congregation at the time of his death. He maintained an active interest and concern for spiritual things and was diligent in church attendance while health permitted. On March 16, 1916, he was united in marriage to Fannie M. Wyse and together they shared life?s experiences for just a few days less than 39 years. They received into their home one daughter, Clara Ann, at the age of 5 years.Those who survive him are his loving and devoted companion, one daughter and her husband, Kenneth and Clara Ann Alvord, one little grandson, Clarence Alvord, to whom he was dearly attached; also four brothers and five sisters: Amanda Frey, (Emma) Mrs. J. C. Liechty, and (Minnie) Mrs. Lloyd Miller of Archbold; Edward B. of Pettisville; Simon, Harvey, (Pearl) Mrs. Sylvan Rupp, (Bessie) Mrs. Charles Miller, and Ora of Wauseon, Ohio, and many nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.

Samuel Frey. son of Christ and Magdalena Frey, was born near Archbold, Ohio, Fulton County, June 14, 1882. Passed away June 20. 1950, at the age of 68 years and 6 days.
He was of a family of 5, of whom 2 survive. Joseph of Archbold and Sarah (Mrs. Silas Liechty) of Spencerville, Indiana. Also 6 nephews and 4 nieces, besides a host of relatives and friends.
There preceded him in death his parents and 2 sisters.
He accepted Christ as his Saviour in youth, and united with the Central Mennonite church and remained faithful until the Lord called him home, which came after a lingering illness of 6 months, which he bore with much patience.
After the death of his mother 27 years ago, the 2 brothers lived together on their farm ne/ar Archbold, and by his passing, he left a great vacancy in the home, but the Lord can comfort and sustain.?Brother thou are sweetly resting,

But the angel sweetly whispered

son of Benjiman and Mary Gautsche, was born in Butler County, Ohio, Jan. 7, 1874. Died at the home, of his son, Oscar, near Elmira, Ohio, Nov. 2, 1950, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, 26 days. At the age of 14 he moved with his parents to Fulton County, Ohio, in the vicinity of Archbold where he lived the remainder of his life. As a young man he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Mennonite Church, and remained faithful to the end. On March 29, 1898, he was united marriage with Mary Grieser, who preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 1939. To this union were born four sons Oscar, Homer, Floyd and Lawrence, two daughters, Luetta, Mrs. Truman Roth, and Selma, Mrs. Roy Sauder, all residing in the vicinity of Archbold, Ohio. Bro. Gautsche was a faithful member of the church, regular in attendance as long as health permitted. He was a respected neighbor in the community, a devoted father in the home, directing his family in the ways of the Lord. He enjoyed normal health until about a year before his death when he suffered a stroke, from which he recovered sufficiently to be about, until the last ten days, when he was confined to his bed. There remain to mourn his departure his four sons, two daughters, twenty-nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and three sisters. Three brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren preceded him in death."Softly and peacefully, Father passed away,

ELIZA E. GEARIG
Eliza E. Gearig, daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Eicher) Roth, was born January, 17, 1877, passed away February 23, 1953, at her home near Pettisville, Ohio. She spent her entire life of 76 years, 1 month and 6 days in this community. She was united in marriage to Christian L. Gearig, January 21, 1897. They shared the joys and sorrows of life for a little over 56 years.
To this union were born six children, one son and five daughters. She leaves her sorrowing and lonely *Companion, son Lloyd, of Wauseon; daughters: Elma (Mrs. C. E. Friesen), Archbold; Vesta (Mrs. Israel Wenger), Wauseon; Dorothy (Mrs. Edward Schneider, Jr.) and Ruth (Mrs. Dayton Hibner), both of Ithaca, Michigan; 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Martha Wyse; one brother, Amos Roth, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bertha; one son-in-law; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, three brothers and four sisters.
In 1911, she with her companion were converted and united with the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, remaining faithful to God and: the Church. She also endeavored to do her duty as a minister's wife for over 35 years.
Mother had been in failing health the past few years, often desiring to be relieved and be at home with the Lord. In her last illness she was only bedfast a few days when it pleased our Heavenly Father to call her home. She will be sadly missed but our loss is her Eternal gain.Card Of Thanks

Zelina E. Gigax, daughter, of Jacob and Louisa Valiton was born near Archbold, Ohio, April 1, 1875, and passed away at her home in Elmira, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1953, after a prolonged illness. She reached the age of 77 years, 10 months and 21 days. On Sept. 10, 1903, she was united in *marirage to Harry A. Gigax. To this union were born two sons who died in infancy. To mourn her departure she leaves her husband and three sisters; Mrs. Sam S. Short, Archbold; Mrs. Roy Burgess, Toledo; Mrs. Claude Hoffman, Wauseon; other relatives and a host of friends. She was a kind and loving wife devoted to God, to her husband, to the church, and to her neighbors and those in need. Being a loyal, faithful member and supporter, she will be greatly missed in the Archbold Missionary Church.Card Of Thanks

Emilie Catherine, daughter of John George and Caterine Goll, was born near Stryker, O., Sept. 26, 1867, and passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Charles Louys on Nov. 6, 1950, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 10 days.
She was baptized in infancy and became a charter member of the First English Lutheran Church of Stryker where she remained faithful until her death.
On Feb. 24,1887, she was united in marriage to George F. Goll; who died Aug. 2, 1927. To this union were born three children: Mary Catherine, who died at the age of five months; George Frederic, and Florence Emilie Louys, both of Stryker, Ohio. She leaves to mourn her departure: her son, daughter, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Beucler, and Mrs. Alice Stuckey, both of Stryker, and three brothers, Dr. Alfred Goll and Dr. Charles Goll both, of Stryker, and George Goll of Cleveland.

Herthel C. Gorsuch, 73, died at his home, 211 N. Wayne St., Mendon, Tuesday afternoon Born in Fulton County, he has resided in Mendon, for a number of years, and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife Lula; son, Kenneth of Wauseon; daughters, Mrs. Shirley Clevenger of Archbold, Mrs. Ruth Ann Barber of Adrian, Michigan, and Mrs. Marcella Linn of Coffeeville, Kansas; brothers, Robert W. Gorsuch of Wauseon and Charles Gorsuch of Celina; sister, Mrs. Zelma Shadle of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Edgar Funeral Home Friday at 2:30. Rev. Don Peterson will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery.

Eli J, son of Joseph and Rachel (Ferris) Graber, was born in Fulton County, Ohio, near Archbold, Sept. 7, 1874 and departed, this life Jan. 3 1955 at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 26 days. On Aug. 5, 1909 he was united in marriage with Nancy Emaline Goldsmith, with whom he shared life?s joys and sorrows for over 36 years. This union was blessed with two sons: Raymond J. of Archbold; Vernon F. of Wauseon, O., two daughters, Anna Marie (Mrs. Clarence Stuckey) and Dorothy Mae (Mrs. Dewitt Hartman) both of Archbold. He leaves to mourn his departure, his four children; 9 grandchildren, besides relatives and friends. There preceded him in death, his companion, one grandchild, parents and one sister. His life was not without trials, having lost his mother at the age of four and his father when only 20 years of age. After which he made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Graber also with neighbors and friends. He made his livelihood working as a farmer. After the death of his companion, he made his home with his daughter Mrs. Dewitt Hartman, always enjoying good health, until 2 ½ years ago when he was injured in an auto accident, from which he never fully recovered. During this time he was tenderly taken care of by his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Stuckey and for the last two months required constant care. He accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Central Mennonite church in 1908 where he remained a member until the Lord took him home."Oh I want to see Him, to look upon His face,

? GRABER, Harvey E.
son of Peter and Lydia Kibler Graber, was born August 29, 1889, in German Township, and resided in Fulton County all of his life, with exception of a number of winters in Largo, Florida, where he also passed to his reward at the age of more than 75 years.
On March 30, 1911, he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Rupp. They were blessed with a large family of thirteen children, all of which with their beloved mother survive him. He was a dutiful loving husband and father, and will be sadly missed by all his large family and many grandchildren.
In 1919 he with his wife Ida, sought peace with their God and upon confession of their faith were received into the Church. Sealing their vows in Water Baptism: They together have continued steadfast. As mentioned, he passed from time at Largo, Florida, March 8.
There remain to mourn their loss his loving wife Ida: six sons, Ralph of Ridgeville Corners, Roy and Orville both of Archbold, Junior and Lloyd both of Wauseon, and Kenneth of Delta; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Evelyn) Rupp, Mrs. Merle (Amelia) Krauss, Mrs. Glen (Cecelia) Seiler, and Mrs. Howard (Lena) Simmons, all of Wauseon, Mrs. Herbert (Opal) Zollman of Lyons, Mrs. Isadore (Merlin) O'Neil of Delta, Mrs. William (Doris) Waite of Flat Rock, Michigan: 43 Grandchildren: 4 Great Grandchildren, one brother Charles of Largo, Florida: four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Stine of Montpelier, Mrs. Mamie Shade of Hillsdale, Mich., Mrs. Amelia Steinbrecker of Toledo and Mrs. Lillie Rupp of Archbold: many other relatives and a host of friends.

Peter oldest son of Christian and Catherine (Stuckey) Graber, was born near Stryker, Ohio, on January 11, 1867, and passed to his Eternal reward at the home of his son, D. Wyse Graber, on June 30, 1953, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 20 days, following a short illness of five weeks.
On February 7, 1889, he was united in marriage to Barbara E. Wyse of Rome, Iowa, and together they shared the joys and sorrows of life for more than 56 years. Four sons and four daughters came to bless this union.
In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized into the Mennonite Church and remained a faithful member until death. His quiet, unassuming disposition won for him many friends; He was a man of few words, a good counsellor and always weighed his words carefully before giving an answer. He was a diligent Bible reader and much concerned about the spiritual welfare of his children. He enjoyed general good health throughout his entire life with the exception of an eye affliction caused by cataracts which greatly impaired his sight. Menno, son of Christian and Veronica (Nofziger) Grieser, was born near Archbold, Ohio, July 28th, 1878. Departed this life May 14th, 1950, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 16 days. On Dec. 24, 1903, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Sauder. This union was blessed with five children: one son and- two daughters - Ora, Estella (Mrs. Caleb Disbrow), Alberta and Ida, at home, Gladys (Mrs. Charles Stuckey), all of this community. He leaves to mourn his departure, his sorrowing companion, five children, seven grandchildren, one brother Aaron, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Beck besides a host of relatives and friends.ere preceded him in death, his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
In youth he confessed Christ as his Saviour, and united with the Central Mennonite Church, and remained faithful, relying on the promises of God, which enabled him to bear his suffering so patiently. Raymond D. Grieser, son of Simon and Lizzie (Nofziger) Grieser, was born northeast of Archbold, Ohio, on August 29, 1900, and, passed from this life on October 21, 1976 at the age of 76 years, one month and 2:r days.
Raymond spent his, entire lifetime in the Archbold, Ohio area. His main occupation was farming until 1951 when he began, employment with Dinner Bell Foods for 17 years. Then he was employed at Fore-Craft in Archbold on a part time basis. In 1972 he retired and since has experienced failing health. Following, hospitalization in May 1975 he was transferred to the Northcrest home in Napoleon, Ohio, and later to the Detwiler Manor in Wauseon, Ohio.
As a young man Raymond accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and became a member of the Central Mennonite Church on April 16, 1916. Through the years he was faithful to Christ, diligent in the practice of his faith and expression of Christian love. He was a, quiet man that revealed his kindness and love in caring and understanding ways. He knew both, the experiences of great joy and deep sorrow in his own life. In both he was able to reveal the stability and strength of one whose faith is in God. On November 15, 1932, Raymond was united in marriage to Florence: Stamm. Together they shared the responsibilities of life, its joys and sorrows. To their union were born seven children, of which six preceded him in death: four in a train accident, Donald, Marlin, Arlene, and Janice; two passed away in infancy. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing: his beloved companion, Florence; his son Roger and wife Karen of Archbold, Ohio; three grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Irene Nafziger of Archbold, Ohio; nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held on October 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Central Mennonite Church in charge of Rev. Charles H. Gautsche. Burial was in the Pettisville Cemetery.Father was lonesome and weary

Ella Roth Hausch was born near Archbold, Ohio, on Oct. 29, 1904, daughter of John and Rebecca Roth, and entered Life, Sept. 23, 1951, aged 46 years, 10, months and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Jack Hausch on Nov. 26, 1931, and to, this, union were born six children. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church of Stryker, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three daughters: Marlene, Marilyn and Margarette. She leaves to mourn her departure: her husband, three children; Charlotte, Charles and Ronald; two sisters and one brother, besides a host of relatives and friends.You cannot say and you must not say,

The remains will be at the Wesche funeral home until noon today when removal will be made to Lauber Hill church near Archbold for services at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. William J. Rupp. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Hernandez, 64, RR1, Wauseon, died Sunday night at Fulton County Health Center following a long illness. Born in Mexico, she has resided in Fulton County for many years and was the widow of the late Joseph Hernandez.

Mary Lou Hershberger
Mrs. Mary Lou Hershberger, 32, of 312½ S. Main St., Goshen, Ind., died Thursday morning, Oct. 13, in her home where she had been ill with complications since January. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Nofziger, she was born in Archbold and graduated from Archbold High School in 1963. After her marriage to Levi (Lee) Hershberger in June, 1967, they made their home in Goshen. She graduated from Goshen College in 1968 and had taught at Zone School and at Waterford Elementary School in Indiana. More recently she assisted her husband m his photography business. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by three children, Eric, Monty and Emily, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. James (Louise) Zimmerly of Wooster; Mrs. Melvin (Nola) Harmish of Maryland; Mrs. Edward (Marlene) Baer of Pettisville; four brothers, Donald of Barberton, Peter, Edward and Milton, all of Archbold.
Funeral services were held from Yoder Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Steven Chupp of Zion Chapel officiating. Burial at Goshen.

Hinesman, PaulineLocal Woman Takes Own Life, Mrs. Pauline (Schultz) Hinesman
A verdict of suicide was returned by Dr. R. K. Vogel, county coroner, in the death of Mrs. Pauline Hinesman, 49, who was found dead in her garage on North Shoop avenue Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Hinesman apparently closed the doors and started the motor of the car. She then laid down beneath the exhaust using a pillow and a blanket.
She was found by her husband when he came home from work at 4:00 o?clock, the sheriff's office said. She was born at Pettisville Ohio and she had been a resident of Clinton township for the last six years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; brothers, Orlo Schultz, of Archbold, and Melvin Schultz, of Toledo; and a sister, Mrs. Leola Hodges, of Sylvania, O.
Private services will be conducted from the Edgar Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Paul R. Gerlach officiating. Interment will be in the Pettisville Lutheran Cemetery.

Double funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Mary Rupp and Mrs. Amelia Hoefer, sisters, who died twenty-three and one-half hours apart in the same house. The church pastor, Rev. Herman Wagner was in charge of the services assisted by Rev. Paul Steiner, a former pastor.

Rupp, Mary
Mary Gaimen Rupp, daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Gaimen, was born January 14, 1862, on the farm at the west side of Pettisville, Ohio, and spent her entire life of 86 years, 2 months and 17 days in this immediate vicinity.
She was married to John Rupp and God's blessing rested on this union for over fifty years, they having the privilege of celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary the year of nineteen hundred thirty-four. He preceded her in death.
One daughter, Clara E., was born to complete this happy family.
During a series of meetings conducted by Rev. J. E. Ramseyer in the Pettisville Union Church in March 1902, this whole family gave their hearts to the Lord Jesus and were baptized April 22nd. When the Pettisville Missionary Church was organized about two years later, they joined the organization, which made them charter members. Mother Rupp never missed an opportunity to attend each service until failing health would not allow her this cherished blessing.
God's call came for her early Wednesday *moring, March 31, 1948.
Her presence will be greatly missed by her daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.
The family circle was broken May 27, 1940,
in the home going of the father.

Amelia Hoefer
Amelia Gaimen Hoefer, the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Gaimen, was born in Pettisville, Ohio, in Fulton County, July 17,1878. She was united in marriage to David Hoefer of Delta, Ohio in 1902, who passed away in California, September 27, 1937, and was buried October 5, 1937, at Delta, Ohio. The Hoefers united with the Church of Christ in Delta and were faithful members. In 1941 Mrs. Hoefer came to make her home with her sister Mrs. Mary Rupp, and niece Clara Rupp. During these years she was ministered to, in spiritual things, by Missionary Ministers. Mrs. Hoefer had been in poor health for some years and the last nine months had been confined to bed.
She was finally relieved from her patient suffering when her Saviour called her home Thursday, April 1, 1948, at the age of 69 years, 9 months, and 16 days--just 23½ hours after her sister Mrs. Mary Rupp passed away in the same house.
She is survived by three brothers: Otto of Swanton, Frank of Adrian, Michigan, and Charles Gaimen of Pettisville, Ohio; Mrs. Amanda Leininger of Napoleon, and Mrs. Sadie Gerig of Turlock, California are the surviving sisters, besides twenty-one nieces and nephews and a host of friends.Services in honor of her memory were held in the Pettisville Missionary Church with the church pastor, Rev. Herman Wagner officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Steiner. Burial was at the Wildwood Cemetery at Delta, Ohio.

NAPOLEON. O. May 22 - Mrs. Erna Hogrefe, 71, of near Ridgeville Corners, died yesterday in Detwiler Hospital. She was a native of Henry County and had resided in the Ridgeville Corners area the last eight years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid Society and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a former employee of the McCord Manufacturing Co., Wauseon, for 15 years, retiring six years ago. Surviving are her husband, George; sons, Martin, Monticello, Ind.; Raymond, Okolona, O., and Harvey Ridgeville Corners; daughters, Mrs. Helen Rosebrock, Defiance, and Mrs. Bernita Norden, Ridgeville Corners; 15 grandchildren; brother, Fred Cohrs, Napoleon, and sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bremer and Mrs. Alvina Koppenhofer, both of Napoleon: Mrs. Emma Kolbe, Montpelier; Mrs. Frieda Brockhoff, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Doris Barnes, Toledo.

Lawrence Willard Kauffman, son of Noah and Katie Kauffman, was born near Archbold, Ohio, on March 24, 1917, and passed away at the Mayo Brothers Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, on November 1, 1952, at the age of 35 years, 7 months and 7 days. His health had been failing for a period of about 10 years and only recently had he been moved to Mayo Brothers Hospital in final attempt to find some way by which he might be helped to regain health, but all efforts were in vain and God saw fit to remove him from his sufferings. On January 1, 1939, he was united in marriage with Mary Nafziger, daughter Jacob and Amanda Nafziger. This union was blest with two daughters, Carol Jean and Elaine Kay. Theirs was indeed a happy married life ? one in which love was a dominant factor. He was of a family of eleven children seven sons and four daughters. His mother, one brother and four sisters preceded him in death. There remain to mourn his early departure his wife and two daughters; his mother-in-law who resided in the home with them; his father and step-mother; and five brothers and many friends and relatives. In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Central Mennonite Church, of which he was a faithful and devout member until death. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed in his home, in his church and in the community.

Benjamin W. Keim, son of John and Esther Keim, was born June 30, 1885 near Goshen, Indiana. He was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, April 19, 1955 from his home in Archbold at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Clara Helmuth of Arthur, Illinois on March 28, 1907. Together, they shared the joys and sorrows of life for a few days more than 48 years, and to this union were born 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son.
Ben Keim joined the Archbold Missionary church on September 17, 1922, and until his death served in the capacity of trustee of this church. For nearly 50 years he was faithful to his Lord and Saviour and worked for the church so that others might come to know His Christ. During the time he lived in and around Archbold he was employed by the Standard Oil Company, operated the gas station, one mile north of Archbold and for the last 13 years was employed with the Sauder Manufacturing Company of Archbold, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, John Keim his mother Esther McGown Keim, a half-brother Harley and a half-sister, Leota. He has left in our fellowship to cherish his memory, his wife, Clara Keim three daughters, Mrs. Goldie Purdy, Moline, Ohio; Mrs. Elsie Wingate, Napoleon, Michigan; Mrs. Bertha Mann, Ypsilanti, Michigan; *on son, Orrin Keim of West Unity, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild. He is also survived by his stepmother, Susan Keim, Eureka, Illinois; a brother, Frank Keim, Wauseon, Ohio; 4 half-brothers, Menno Keim, Stanford, Illinois; Andrew Keim, Danvers, Illinois; Ira Keim, McLean, Illinois; and Loren Keim, Bloomington, Illinois; besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held, April 22, 1955, in the Evangelical Mennonite church with Rev. Seek of the local Missionary Church officiating and Rev. Hager, a former pastor assisting. He was laid to rest in the Pettisville Cemetery, Pettisville, Ohio.The road into the sunset

Emma (nee Burkholder) Kleck, daughter of Daniel D. and Catherine Burkholder, was born January 23, 1876 in Fulton County, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Harmon Kleck, December 16, 1897 and to this union was born 4 children, Inez, Harold, Ilva and Wilbur. In 1945 she openly confessed Christ as her savior and united with the Reformed Mennonite church at Lauber Hill.She departed this life on February 16, 1962 at the age of 86 years and 23 days. Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death. There remains to mourn her departure two sons, Harold Kleck and Wilbur Kleck, both of Delta and one daughter, Ilva Meek of Asuncion, Paraguay, South America, 8 grandchildren including Mrs. Virgil (Doris) DeGroff whom she cared for after the death of her mother, also 20 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Lydia Sigg of Pettisville; Katie Wiederkehr of Archbold and one brother Ezra Burkholder of West Unity Ohio.

Levi Klopfenstein, son of Joseph and Marian (Hershey) Klopfenstein, was born near Archbold, O., on July 19, 1868, and passed to his Eternal Reward at the Weber Rest Home in Stryker, Ohio on Feb. 26, 1958, having reached the age of 89 years, 7 months and 7 days. At the age of 21 he went to the state of Nebraska where on May 8, 1890 he was married to Abbie Roth of Chappel, Nebr. This union was blest with 9 children: 7 sons and 2 daughters. His wife passed away in 1935. Two years later he came to Ohio, making his home with his daughter Pearl most of the time until his death. In 1946 he was married to Nellie Momyer of West Unity, O. She passed away in 1950.He is survived by 8 children: Myron of Wauseon, O.; Mrs. Cora Gluenken of Lexington, Nebr.; James of Goshen, Ind.; Aden of Corry, Pa.; Harley of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Pearl Burkholder of West Unity, O.; Roy of Bryan, O., and Clyde of Florida; one step-son, Clarence Momyer, of Waldron, Mich.; 33 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him beside his companions were one son, 3 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Early in life he was converted, accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, joined the Mennonite Church and was a member of the Lockport Congregation at the time of his passing. His passing marked the close of another generation as he was the last of a family of 13 children. He was a loving father and grandfather and was much concerned for the spiritual welfare of his family. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 1 from Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker, O., and the Lockport Church by the church Ministry. Falls Under Train Wheels Trying To Return Home
Ivan Krieger, 34, was seriously injured Saturday forenoon by a freight train on the New York Central, going west near Pettisville. It is believed that he boarded the train in Toledo. The injured man was taken to the Wauseon hospital where it was found necessary to amputate his left limb above the knee as well as several toes on the right foot. He also suffered many bruises. Mr. Krieger had been in the Toledo State hospital for the past five months and had attempted to escape several times to come to his home near Pettisville. He has a wife, daughter and son, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Krieger, both of whom died several years ago.In Memory Of

Martin Samuel Krieger, son of Ivan M. Krieger and Phyllis I. Cox, was born June 27, 1935 near Stryker, Ohio. He departed this life Sept. 20, 1957, at the age of twenty-two years, two months and twenty-three days. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Waneta Mae. He leaves to mourn his departure: his parents, one brother, Daniel at home; two sisters, Sally, at home, and Nellie (Mrs. John W. Lohse) two nieces, Karen and Julie, a host of relatives and friends.

Ora S. Krieger, 77, Pettisville, died Sunday noon in Toledo Hospital where he was a patient 15 days, having been in failing health six months.
He spent his lifetime in the Archbold community, owned and operated the Fix-It Shop in Pettisville 20 years, retiring recently. Survived by his wife, Pearl; one son, Walter of Toledo; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. L. (Elsie) Brunthaver of Largo, Fla., and Mrs. Harvey (Leona) Beck of Pettisville.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 19 at 2 p.m. in Reformed Mennonite Church, Lauber Hill, conducted by Rev. Earl Beaverson and Rev. Robert Myers. Burial in the Lauber Hill Cemetery. Short Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.? KRIEGER

Ora Sylvan Krieger, son of Simon P. Krieger and Caroline A. (Kiefer) Krieger, was born Oct. 26, 1894, Henry County, near Archbold, Ohio. He passed away at Toledo Hospital July 19, 1972 at the age of 77 years and 9 months, after he had been a patient of 17 days there. Ora S. Krieger and Pearl M. Krieger were married Aug. 9, 1917 at Bryan, Ohio. They spent nearly 55 years together.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Pearl, one son, Walter, and wife Bea, one grandson, Gary and wife Dianna, and one granddaughter, Kimberly Kay Krieger; two sisters: Mrs. Elsie Brunthauer, Largo, Fla., who is critically ill and Mrs. Leona Beck, Pettisville, Ohio, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He had operated a Fix-It Shop for many years. On Oct. 26, 1919 he was baptized and became a member of Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church where he remained steadfast.Oh, ,how fain we would have kept thee

ARCHBOLD - Pearl M. Krieger, 81, died early Saturday morning at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold where she had been a resident for the past year and a half. She had been in failing health for several years. She was born near Archbold July 13, 1899, the daughter of Walter and Ida (Winzeler) Ruffer and was the widow of Ora Krieger. She was a resident of Pettisville for 51 years and a member of the Reformed *Menonite Church Lauber Hill.Surviving are one son, Walter, Toledo; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Elmer Ruffer, Rapid City, Mich.; Earl Ruffer and Robert Ruffer; both of Stryker; Glen and Hazen Ruffer; both of Archbold; two sisters, Mrs. Emmett (Midge) Short, Archbold and Mrs. Donald (Gert) Honeck.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Reformed *Menonite Church-Lauber Hill with Robert Myers, Oakley Myers and Earl Beaverson officiating. Burial will be in Lauber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Short Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials be given to the church.

Arthur Kruse, 68, RR5, Wauseon, died Tuesday morning, June 22, in Fulton County Health Center after a brief illness. Born in Henry County, he lived in Clinton Township a number of years and was a carpenter with Liechty Specialties, Inc., Archbold.
Survived by his wife, Leona; one son, Lawrence of Deshler and two grandchildren. Funeral will be held in Emmaus Lutheran Church, Wauseon, Friday at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Walter J. Baese. Burial in Wauseon Cemetery. Friends may call Edgar Funeral Home, Wauseon after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
