Bob Lammon
In memory of Bob Lammon who passed away one year ago May, l, 1976.

When the ties of love are broken and our loved one had to part, it leaves a wound that never heals and an ever aching heart.

No one knows how much we miss him since he was called away, but to me who loved him dearly it seems just like yesterday.

He left us his smile and his sweet memory that the passing of time just endears, he left his laughter to ring in our hearts and comfort us all through the years.

He left us his faith in the goodness of life and his courage to seek it as such and though we are grieved that he left us, we are grateful he left us so much.

Not dead to us who loved him, not lost but gone before, he lives with us in memory and will forever more.

That dwells within God's boundless peace;

And sickness holds no dungeon walls

For one who knoweth sin's surcease;

Light from its load the spirit flies;

While heaven and earth combine to say

How blest the righteous when he dies.

Life's labor done, as sinks the day

Light from its load the spirit flies

While heaven and earth combine to say

How blessed the righteous when he dies.

LEAH WERDER

Leah Werder, daughter of Joseph B. and Barbara (Short) Short, was born February 20, 1884, in Fulton County, Ohio, and passed to her eternal reward at the Bryan Community Hospital Thursday afternoon, April 7, 1977, at the age of 93 years l month and 18 days.

On March 15; 1911, she was united in marriage with Elmer P. Werder. This union of nearly 32 years was broken by the passing of Elmer on January 17, 1943. To this marriage was born one daughter, Marjory (Mrs. Dan B.) Wyse, of West Unity, Ohio.

Surviving, in addition to Marjory, are four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, I. J. Short, of Wauseon, Ohio; and a host of relatives and friends. One grandson preceded her in death.

Gram accepted Christ at an early age, and united with the Central Mennonite Church. She later transferred her membership to the Lockport Congregation when it was formed, and was a faithful member there until her death. She was faithful in her attendance until she was physically unable. A verse of Scripture which seems to fit Gram so well is found in Psalms 122:1, "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord."

Gram lived all her life in the Fulton-Williams County area. Following the death of her husband, she made her home with her daughter, Marjory and family, until the final few weeks of her life. Her cheerful spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services were held Easter Sunday, April 10, 1977, at 2:00 p.m., at the Lockport Mennonite Church conducted by Rev. Keith Leinbach and Rev. Walter Stuckey. Burial was in the Lockport Cemetery.

JUNIOR CHRIS WYSE

Junior Chris Wyse was born near Stryker, Ohio, April .22, 1921. At the age of 14 he gave his life to Christ as his Lord and Savior and accepted the right hand of fellowship in Mennonite Church to which he has contributed in many ways to express his deep convictions and faith.

On Nov. 25, 1943 he was united in marriage to Donna Lugbill. God blessed their union with three children. His family has always been the object of his .deepest devotion.

His smile and optimistic outlook will be greatly missed in the circle of his friends, fellow-churchmen, and co-workers. His concern has been that others might know the joy and peace of Christian living.

He leaves us all with us all with a challenge of faithfulness to our Lord, but most of all the challenge is for young men his own age and responsibility to accept the opportunities of being a loving "daddy" to their own family and children.

He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, Donna Lugbill Wyse; three children, Marcia, Karlin, and Candice; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wyse; three brothers, Mahler, Warren and Marvin, and a host of relatives and friends.

CHARLES YODER

Charles Jay Yoder, son of Oscar and Frieda (Zaerr) Yoder was born April 3, 1938, near Wauseon, Ohio, and on September 15, 1956 departed this life at the of 18 years, 5 months and 13 days. The Lord called him home very suddenly and unexpectedly as the result of a fall while helping erect a silo; five and a half miles south of Farmer, Ohio.

Charles is the first to break this family circle. He leaves to mourn his very sudden departure loving sweetheart, Janice Nofziger his sorrowing parents 1 sister, Buetta (Mrs, Marlin Rupp) Pettisville, Ohio; 2 brothers, Robert and LaMar, both at home, two nieces and a nephew and a host of relatives and friends.

As a young boy Charles accepted Christ as his personal savior and united with the West Clinton Mennonite church where he remained a faithful member. until death. He was always willing to help and to be used in the program of the church and in the youth activities. His pleasing personality and cheerful disposition won him many friends in his short span of life.

He will be sadly missed in the home, in the community and in the church. We keenly feel our loss, but we submit to the all wise providence of God, and say with Job of old, "The Lord gave, the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the Name of the Lord."

He is gone, yet not forgotten--

Years have made him rich, indeed;

And the life of Christ he lived for

Has fulfilled his every need.

He was rich in all the glory

Of a kindly well lived life

But an older, greater Master

Set aside his hours of strife;

So he sits enthroned in heaven--

Waiting there to greet each friend;

Happy in his new found palace

Through all eternity which has no end.

Card of Thanks

The family wishes to express their "sincere thanks" to all neighbors, friends and relatives--for prayers in their behalf, for words of comfort, and assistance in any way during the death and burial of Charles.

On Monday evening Rutheda and family were home for supper and all enjoyed a happy evening together, never thinking that in less than three hours Mother would be gone.

She was a kind, loving and considerate Mother and Wife and will be greatly missed, but our loss is her gain.

Like a ship that's left its moorings

And sails bravely out to sea,

So Mother dear has sailed away

In calm serenity,

But there's a promise of a greater joy

Than earth could have in store,

For God has planned a richer life

Beyond the Unseen Shore.

Father was tired and weary,

Weary with toil and pain,

But he's resting now from his labor

Never to suffer again.

No one heard the footsteps,

-Of the Angel draw near

Who took from earth to heaven

The one we loved so dear.

Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Clarence J., of Toledo; six sisters: Mary (Mrs. Henry Eicher), Leah, and Minerva of Archbold, Ida (Mrs. Sam Nofziger) of near Pettisville, Fannie. Lord, it belongs not to my care

Whether I die or live;

To love and serve Thee is my share,

And this Thy grace must give.

If life be long, I will be glad,

That I may long obey

If short, yet why should I be sad

To soar to endless day:

Come, Lord, when grace hath made me meet

Thy blessed face to see;

For if Thy work on earth be sweet,

What will Thy glory be!

Card of Thanks
