Society Information
The Fulton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society was chartered in May 1980.
Membership in the society is open to those interested in genealogy and local history. Annual dues are $12 for an individual and $15 for a joint membership (two or more persons at the same address). Membership in the Fulton County Chapter is separate from membership in the Ohio Genealogical Society (OGS). However, all members are encouraged to join OGS.
Meetings are held at 7 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, except July and August, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor Street, Delta, Ohio. Programs feature local and nationally known speakers on a variety of subjects related to genealogy and/or local history. Guests are always welcome to attend.
The Fulton County Chapter’s library holdings are located at the Evergreen Community Library, 253 Maple Street, Metamora, Ohio. Use of the chapters’ research material is free of charge and members are available, by appointment, for assistance in researching ancestors in Fulton County, Ohio.
The society publishes a newsletter, Fulton Footprints, containing queries, chapter news, and information on Fulton County records and ancestors. The society does not charge for queries submitted for publication.
